We offer performance based raises, end of season bonus, employee housing (which is: $75/person/month, drug free, non-smoking, no pets, no dependents, and women only, for the duration of the job) located just 5 miles from Yellowstone National Park.  We work with each employee to customize their schedule as much as possible where business allows.

Front Desk/Sales & Marketing

Starting wage is $11.05 per hour or more based on experience.

The Yellowstone Basin Inn is looking for Front Desk/Sales & Marketing person whose job is to enthusiastically assist the Innkeepers with all aspects of front desk and sales & marketing functions for an exceptional Montana lodging establishment from May through October.  The duties encompass all front desk functions, all housekeeping and laundry duties, guest services, sales & marketing, food service and clean up.  Other duties are assigned as needed.

The position will work 8am-4pm 4 days/week (these days are negotiable) and 7am-3pm Sat.  We provide extensive property specific training and the front desk job responsibilities are to greet and check guests in and out, answer phones and guests’ questions, make reservations on our online RezOvation system, provide concierge service, help the housekeepers and laundry persons with their jobs when needed.  The sales& marketing duties will be to keep an active Facebook, set and promote events and specials, increase the overall occupancy of the Inn, and other duties as assigned.

This position’s role, as part of a team, is to eagerly assist the Innkeepers with smoothly running an exceptionally clean Inn with great emphasis on customer and employee service in cooperation with the Innkeepers and rest of the staff (some of which are international students).  Must be guest services oriented, clean and neat, self reliant, detailed oriented, as well as see the big picture, work well with housekeepers, laundry person, and breakfast server in a team atmosphere in a self-directed environment.

Housekeeping and Dinning Room & Laundry Attendant

Starting wage is $9.05 per hour or more based on experience.

This job is to enthusiastically assist the Innkeepers with all aspects of running an exceptionally clean Montana lodging establishment full-time from May through October.  We usually hire for 4-6 positions.  The duties encompass all housekeeping and laundry duties, dinning room and lobby clean up, maintaining cleanliness of the Inn grounds, reporting maintenance problems, breakages, supply shortages, and anything unusual – it is to be the Innkeepers “eyes.”  Other duties are assigned as needed.

The Housekeepers work from 9 am until all the rooms are serviced and available for check in no later then 4 pm.  We provide extensive property specific training and the duties are to clean guest rooms: make beds, clean bathrooms and kitchens, dusting, taking out trash and recycling, cleaning windows, vacuuming, and keeping the outdoor areas, lobby, and dinning room clean.

The Dinning Room & Laundry Attendant (this is one position) works from 7:30am until dinning room is cleaned and all laundry is washed & stocked – generally done by 4pm.  The duties are: as a dinning room attendant: to assist the cook with keeping the drinks stocked, bus tables and clean dishes, clean the dinning room and restroom;  as a laundry attendant: to receive linens from commercial laundry, sort them and keep the linen stocked, launder towels, to  stock the laundry so the housekeepers are able to service the guest rooms efficiently, and clean the laundry, bathroom, lobby areas, as well as the dinning room.

Since we generally hire about 4-6 housekeepers we alternate their work days.  So within a week a housekeeper will work few days cleaning and couple of days as dinning room & laundry attendant .

The housekeepers’ and dinning room & laundry attendant’s role, as part of a team, is to eagerly assist the Innkeepers  with smoothly running an exceptionally clean Inn in cooperation with the Innkeepers and rest of the staff (some of which are international students).  Must be guest services oriented, clean and neat, self reliant, detailed oriented, as well as see the big picture, work well with the front desk person, and food server in a team atmosphere in a self-directed environment.

Breakfast Cook & Lunch Preparer

Do you like to bake and cook?  Do you care where our food comes from and how it is produced?  Then this job is for you:

The Yellowstone Basin Inn Cook’s job is to enthusiastically assist the Innkeepers with managing an exceptional Montana lodging establishment from May through October.  The duties encompass all breakfast service and clean up, and making lunches to go; using local, sustainable and organic products, and respecting where our food comes from.  Overseeing the cleanliness of the kitchen and dinning room, reporting maintenance problems, breakages, supply shortages, and anything unusual – it is to be the Innkeepers “eyes.”  Other duties are assigned as needed.

The Cook starts at 6 am and works until breakfast is taken down, the kitchen has been cleaned, and breakfast has been prepared for the next morning, which is usually around 1 – 2 pm.  The Cook will make sure that breakfast is ready from 7 am until 9 / 10 am.

We provide extensive property specific training and the job responsibilities are to: make from scratch various baked casseroles, muffins, and side dishes; make sure all cereals, breakfast condiments, and dishes are stocked; coffee, teas, hot water, juice and water are available; all supplies are fully stocked and inventoried; and sandwiches, cookies and other things for lunches to go have been prepared for next day.

The Cook’s role, as part of a team, is to eagerly assist the Innkeepers with offering a phenomenal breakfast experience and lunches to go for our guests in cooperation with the Innkeepers and rest of the staff (some of which are international students).  Must be guest services oriented, clean and neat, self reliant, detailed oriented, as well as see the big picture, work well with the manager, front desk, housekeepers, and laundry person in a team atmosphere in a self-directed environment.
