YELLOWSTONE BASIN INN

The Yellowstone Basin Inn is an upscale lodging facility just 5 miles from Yellowstone's North Entrance in a rural setting of Gardiner, Montana. The Inn is situated on a bluff above US HWY 89 overlooking the Yellowstone River channel and open ranch lands, while just beyond lie the mountains of Yellowstone National Park.

Electric Peak, which is part of the Gallatin Mountains in Yellowstone Park, borders both the south and west sides of the basin and is the focal point of the Inn's lodging accommodations. The mountains of the Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness form a backdrop to the Inn and flank the northeast side of the property, which is accessible by nearby LaDuke Hot Springs trailhead. Porch rockers, and bistro tables and chairs are provided on the covered deck to afford a relaxed atmosphere or close your day with a soak in the heated outdoor hot tub - all with spectacular views of Electric Peak. The hot tub is also an excellent observation point for viewing the spectacular starry nights of Big Sky Montana.

The Yellowstone Basin Inn was built in 1995 with eight units, inclusive of two deluxe suites. The Cottage Suite was built in 2000 to adjoin the east end of the lodge. Two more lodging units, the Riverview and Northern Lights, were also added at this time. The Inn's accommodations now include eleven custom-decorated rooms and suites, most of which are approached by the outdoor covered deck, with exceptions being the Riverview and Northern Lights rooms and the Yellowstone and Ridin' High suites with spectacular views from their second story perch.

The majority of the guests staying with us at the Yellowstone Basin Inn come to explore the Yellowstone National Park, taking advantage of the Inn's convenient proximity to seemingly endless outdoor adventures and fantastic wildlife viewing opportunities. Taking full advantage of the basin's spectacular surroundings, the Yellowstone Basin Inn was designed to embrace the ambience of the Western Rockies.

The Inn's ideal location, just removed from Gardiner but close to Yellowstone Park, makes it ideal as a base for engaging in outdoor area activities. Hiking, fishing, horseback riding, whitewater and scenic rafting are among the many popular summer diversions.
